Egg turning with all models in the Octagon range is achieved by rotating the whole cabinet through 90° (45° on either side on an hourly cycle).
The separate turning cradle keeps all moving parts outside the incubator away from moisture and dust leaving the enclosure easier to clean. It also means that there is nothing to trap or injure emerging chicks if you forget to stop the turning. The incubator lifts easily out of the cradle allowing it to stand horizontal for hatching.

40 years of experience goes into every Brinsea product
Brinsea incubators are the best, and their customer service is exceptional. I would recommend them to anyone. It's one thing to have an excellent product but makes all the difference to have the support...
Now whilst I’m not a big fan of corporate advertising or product placement I have to give credit where credit is due. Yesterday Tom broke the element in my Hatchmaker with five day old chicks in it....
Hi Emily,
We wanted to thank you so very much for taking the time to show us around your amazing setup at Brinsea on Friday; including the tip for breakfast!!!
Your kind hospitality made the trip...
