The EcoGlow Safety 600 is ideal for keeping newly hatched poultry, game and waterfowl warm for the crucial first days and weeks. The low voltage heater panel warms the chicks directly by contact and radiant heat and is far more economical than a conventional infrared lamp, using about 5% of the electricity of a 250 watt suspended lamp, which is important when heating for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Contact with the EcoGlow Safety 600 is a more natural way of raising chicks than a heat lamp. It avoids the stress of being under light both day and night, the chicks get used to the natural light changes of night and day which improves weight gain and feather growth.
PLEASE NOTE: This product is for indoor use only and the room temperature should not drop below 10° C (50° F). The EcoGlow should be located in an area free from draughts and chicks should be provided with plenty of bedding.

I have 2 of these brooders and they are amazing. Easy to use and clean, easily adjustable and totally safe. They are excellent for brooding small amounts of birds and can be packed away requiring little space when not in use. Brilliant Brinsea Brooders!
One of the best products I have ever purchased. ? It's easy to set up and much more convenient than setting up a lamp which is inconvenient and has to hand and run the risk of overheating chicks. The EcoGlow is "kinder" and the height is easily adjusted as the chicks grow and imitates a mother hen. I wish I had come across this product ages ago. What a pleasure it is to raise chicks now
Excellent product! After faffing around with heat lamps for a couple of weeks, I got rid of them and got this heater. Worked well for my 7 quail chicks. My only warning will be to keep some distance between the "feet" of the heater and the walls of the brooder to avoid little chicks to getting stuck there. As a bonus, it is IP rated, unlike some of the cheapest products around. Would happily buy it again.
Must have when hatching, maintains a constant heat and very easy to adjust
After using an original model on numerous occasions, I am so much happier with this new version. The issues I felt made it awkward in use (old version), have been corrected in this new version. I love the way the height can be adjusted as your chicks grow with its adjustable legs. Also, I did eventually have an issue with the heating plate dropping out from the casing when it got warm, the new version has got screws to fix into the casing. This product is much safer now for use. Excellent

My first time using a brooder and this is simple to set up and my day old chicks absolutely love it! Completely silent so you wouldn’t even know it’s on, but it does have an indicator light so you know it is! The chicks look so cosy under there.
The screw in legs make it very easy to adjust the height, is extremely cost effective and compacts flat when not being used, for easy storage. Would highly recommend the cover as well, due to it making it set up so much easier to clean.

This brooder was fantastic for our chicks, they loved snuggling underneath the heat and lowering/raising the height was super easy to do. The built in thermostat was really handy as we didn't have to worry about having the heating on in the house as well. Brinsea have some incredible products! Wouldn't look anywhere else :)
I purchased this to keep my chicks warm, I knew it was going to be a little more challenging as I hatched them in the winter, however this item really helped me out, very simple to use and to adjust, a lot less bulky than a heat lamp, would certainly use again and recommend.
I used this model last season having used an earlier model for many years. Whilst I was happy with the earlier version the improvements, mainly the height adjustment, make this one perfect. The performance for the cost of purchase and its use is amazing when compared to a heat lamp and other heating methods.
I have an earlier version of this brooder with 'clip legs' which I thought were susceptible to breaking (but they haven't). This version, with the simplicity of the leg adjustment, provides an infinite range of options for virtually all sizes of chicks and negligible risk of a breakage. Combined with the easy maintenance surfaces (wipe clean or plastic cover) the brooder offers a versatility and value for money that is backed up by the excellent after-sales support other Brinsea users have extolled - not that I have ever needed it. My only concern relates to the 12v power supply as the flex is unlikely to be as robust as conventional power cables but I suspect Brinsea and/or simple electrical connectors would solve any problem. Overall an excellent product, but I said that about the earlier version and they still managed to improve it!
My second Ecoglow purchase due to a population explosion of chicks! Love this product for all the safety aspects, and the ability to raise happy contented chicks. It is the closest thing to a broody hen, keeping them warm and secure for the first few days, and once their feathers start to come in the chicks spend most of their time using it for flying practise! There is never any worry that the chicks will overheat or be too cold, and the Ecoglow is also very economical to run - Brilliant!
We only incubate small amounts of eggs at a time, so this product was completely perfect for us and our chicks. Easy to use, clean, adjust and assemble. Keeps our Silkies snug and warm! Highly recommend.
Very pleased with this brooder, it helped keep my 2 newly hatched ducklings warm.
After using the EcoGlow for my last batch of chicks I’ll never go back to the hazardous heat lamp again. It provides a perfectly safe heated environment that the chicks crave. They were much happier and quieter due to the security of being under something just like if they were with a hen. 10/10!
Great brooder but I was expecting to get a plastic cover as part of the delivery as it's pictured on the product box, and also on the website as part of the brooder. Apparently not. It would have got a 5 star rating if the website description and packaging had been less misleading. NOTE FROM BRINSEA: The packaging clearly states, 'shown below with optional cover' and the website states, 'plastic covers are available.' The website has now been updated to make it even clearer for customers. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
I had 3 of these beauties and I’m so glad I did, I have passed one into my friend. They are so much easier than lamps. You can literally switch them on and relax. My friend had an emergency with a broody hen, and one of these came to the rescue. I won’t hatch without one of these on standby. Thank you Brinsea

Perfect size for the amount chicks I hatch and the chicks love going underneath to keep warm. Height adjustments makes it useful for chicks all sizes and ages!

Excellent brooder with it's easy to adjust legs when it's in situ, twist the legs to adjust the height while the chicks are sat underneath. So much easier than the original Ecoglow. Heatplate is clear of any screw heads so the chicks cant burn their heads.The plastic cover is a great idea to stop the brooder getting mucky & sits perfectly on the brooder. Would highly recommend this brooder to any other similar types on the market.
A great addition to the Brinsea brooder range and a must for anyone hatching poultry/gamebird eggs. The great advantage is the ability to adjust the legs to the ideal height for your chicks (large or small), even for chicks of different sizes by setting the legs at one end to a different height. Cleaning is just as straightforward, once it's been unplugged, due to the nature of the plastics used. Longevity may be an issue due to plastic fatigue but I'm sure Brinsea have considered that aspect and used the best materials available, every other detail is as good as you could hope for.
Much better than a heat lamp. No worry about overheating or high energy costs. Would be nice if the brooder diamantled a little easier. Bit of a faff getting legs off.
