The Brinsea OvaEasy 580 EX Connect Series III is a high performance, flexible incubator which combines ease of use with fully automatic humidity control. It is ideal if you are looking at multistage incubation where fresh trays of eggs are added each week on the top shelf and trays are moved down a shelf each week before moving to a separate hatcher, like the matching Brinsea OvaEasy Hatcher EX or EX Connect Series III. The OvaEasy 580 EX Connect Series III can be used as a single-stage incubator with optional hatching covers fitted to the universal egg trays. The Connect model integrates with Brinsea's free Connect iOS/Android app allowing extra functionality, safety and convenience.

Eggs are held in removable trays. Universal egg trays with adjustable dividers are supplied as standard allowing the user to efficiently fit a wide range of egg sizes from quail to goose. For maximum capacity, optional species-specific egg trays are available. Eggs are set to hatch in trays on six tilting shelves which are set level for hatching. Hatching covers are available to safely contain the hatching chicks. The OvaEasy 580 EX Connect Series III uses a single button press to automatically level the shelves for access.

The OvaEasy 580 EX Connect Series III features Brinsea's proven advanced digital control system which is both accurate and easy to use and fitted with an improved back-lit display for improved readability. Incubation temperature (in °C and °F) and humidity are continuously displayed along with temperature alarm and egg turning status. The incubator control system includes room temperature alarms to warn if the environmental temperature goes outside the optimum range. The control panel allows the user to adjust the temperature, ventilation and turning easily. Temperature and humidity levels are shown on a calibrated digital display on the front of the panel. A button on the control panel also illuminates the incubator interior making egg inspection easier.

Brinsea's Connect app duplicates all the functions of the control panel and allows control and monitoring of the incubation environment from anywhere in the world. Importantly the app will notify the user of an alarm alert for temperature variation or possible power failure, allowing the user time to intervene and save the eggs.

Humidity is a crucial factor in the success (or otherwise) of hatching eggs, the OvaEasy 580 EX Connect Series III Advance EX puts accurate control of humidity into the hands of the user. This model has an integral humidity hump which effectively maintains the humidity level precisely at the level the user sets irrespective of changes in room humidity and so overcomes problems that can commonly lead to eggs failing to hatch – especially in the latest stages of incubation. A water bottle is supplied.

Multiple small fans blow air in laminar flow around the egg chamber to provide much better temperature distribution than a single large fan. This approach, coupled with the high levels of insulation mean that temperature is extremely evenly distributed throughout the egg chamber, ensuring good hatch rates, time after time.

The OvaEasy 580 EX Connect Series III has a fully protected steel chassis which is rigid and rust resistant with laminated high density polystyrene sides providing good thermal insulation and smooth, easy to clean surfaces. The transparent, double glazed door provides thermal insulation plus convenience of the total visibility of eggs and hatched chicks. Regular cleaning of incubators is important and this is made easy by the lift-out shelves which leave the interior empty for improved access.
