Bought after a different brand incubator broke on me 10 days into incubation. This incubator got up to temperature so quickly that the majority of my eggs still managed to hatch! Have now completed a second hatch with this incubator and absolutely love it.

I bought this after seeing positive comments online. I used it to hatch 7 eggs. After ten days 6 were fertile and all 6 hatched into healthy chicks. Great instructions and Brinsea videos online. Thank you for a great product

Initially I had purchases a cheaper and supposedly more advanced model from a well know internet site. Frustrated with some very poor hatching results and lack of clear instructions from the manufacturer, I decided to look elsewhere for a simple and well constructed unit. Brinsea have covered these criteria without doubt with the mini 2 advance I purchased. With an almost plug and play set up, strong robust construction and clear well written instructions, I had my eggs in within an hour (allowing for warm up). The egg turn mechanism does it's job without hassle, which highlighted the problem with my old incubator straight away that it was not turning correctly. The clear dome gives full observation throughout the use of the incubator which prevents temptation to lift the lid. The easy maintain humidity water level is a huge plus. Worth the expense and a great product for amateurs through to experts. Great to see a British product beating the competition without question, especially with a long term warranty. Well done Brinsea!

buy cheap and buy twice, or buy a Brinsea product and don't look back :-) - a very well-built product - I recommend listening to the video guide for setting up. (as I am a typical bloke that doesn't read instructions....) Note: it would be good to have a quick setup video, as the video is a full 30min overview, but that's just me finding something to grouch about - ha ha ha

I purchased the Mini II as part of a starter pack including the brooder heat plate, drinker and feeder, as this was my first time hatching hens eggs. Very impressed with the quality of the items, there was none of that brittle plastic used elsewhere. The instructions for the Mini II were easy to follow and it was equally easy to use. The instructions provided guidance on humidity levels, which comprised a daily check and top up of water to the correct level - easy. We had a good hatch rate. Two days before hatch I noticed a problem with the moulding of the drinker base causing it to leak. One phone call and the problem was resolved, and a new drinker base arrived before the chicks needed it -brilliant! Very pleased with my purchase and extremely grateful to Brinsea’s customer service team.

This is the first time we used an incubator. We succeeded in hatching some poults, so were happy! The automatic turning was not able to turn turkey eggs, they were obviously too heavy for it. The other problem we had was the alarm going off a lot when the room temp changed. It would be good to be able to turn the alarm/beeping off if required. E.g. the beeping that occurs during the auto turn. Other than that we were happy with the product.

Very good incubator. However does not fit in larger size eggs which is a shame as is a big price increase up to the Maxi size. Good for chicken/bantam eggs.

My first time hatching with a Brinsea incubator and couldn’t be more impressed! Every fertile egg hatched no problem at all, so easy to use, my only criticism to make is that it is not silent, you can hear the fan whirring away, but the results outweigh this downfall.

I am very satisfied with this product so far. My very firs hatching batch is just finished with the Mini II Advanced hatcher and I have 100% hatch rate. And I haven't tried my Mini II EX yet, which is presumably even better as it controls humidity as well. Thank you Brinsea for the product.

Reliable little machine

I had very good success with this machine, hatched both duck and chicken eggs successfully. The item arrived with a broken cord and Brinsea quicly replaced it. I now hatch using broodies but have kept it for the occasional times when a hen attacks chicks. I just keep it warm for hartching time and use it if needed.

This incubator is ideal for first time users and it is also perfect for kids. You can view every stage of incubation and hatching. We found the settings very easy to program or you can leave it in the factory preset settings which is ideal for chickens. The auto turning feature is brilliant and prevents you from continually opening the incubator thus maintaining a constant level humidity. Also, being able to top the water chamber externally is another excellent feature which also prevents you having to open the incubator to often. We have had good results with hatching chicks and our son who is 7 absolutely loved the whole process and provided some many valuable learning opportunities. I highly recommend this incubator.

Five years ago I was purchased one of these for my birthday. It is still going strong and happy to say still great hatches. Although I have now progressed to a much bigger Brinsea I still use my mini for test hatches to check fertility for which it is perfect. I would recommend this Brinsea Incubator to anybody.

This was brought for my wife, who in her self is a bit of a broody hen. The item was used in conjunction with the automatic water pump which keeps the humidity exactly right. The instructions were easy to follow and easy to read and refresh her memory over the incubation period. The out come was brilliant with 6 of 7 hatching, with only one not fertile. This was removed after candling. Thank you for making her introduction into Home rearing as unstressed as possible .

A brilliant little incubator for home or school hatching projects. I work for a kids club and this little incubator was perfect for the children to view the chicks emerging from there eggs. The support and help from brinsea is always spot on. Can’t fault them.

We purchased 6 fertile hen eggs and to our disappointment our incubator had broke, so we were on the hunt for another that offered exactly what we needed and included fast delivery. Well done to the Incubator Shop.... Great product & easy to use. Love the fact that you can see all around it too enabling you to check each individual egg from the first time it 'wobbles' to the first 'pip'. Easy to clean too. After losing my chickens to the fox I had to start again. I bought this incubator and some eggs and it worked perfectly with the eggs that were fertile. Would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this small incubator as I thought I would never be able to get an egg to hatch. But they hatched. And I got the bug so I moved onto a bigger incubator. I still use this one if I only have 6 eggs but I mostly use it for Quails eggs now. It is so easy to use. This would be great for a class room wanting to learn children about birds etc. I know the Brinsea name and this will be with me for years to come

This incubator has been a very special purchase for my family- we have been able to hatch with almost 100% hatch rate because this incubator does all the tricky work with humidity and turning for us. It is so easy to use, my children have been in charge of the recent hatches - even deciding how many times a day the eggs should be turned and when the turning should stop. They have been able to watch the babies grow on a daily basis, from the first candle of the eggs, right up to hatching. Right from the moment the first eggs turned, I felt confident that the fertile eggs would develop and hatch so we could all take part in the most captivating process of watching little lives develop. The machine is compact, but holds even duck eggs easily. It is very silent and has a great little alarm if the power goes off. I would certainly recommend this product - worth the money and so easy to use.

Having owned this product for three years now I can certainly recommend it to small holders or hobby enthusiasts. I have had many successful hatches, both hens and ducks. It is simple to use with no degree of expertise requires. I lent mine to a friend with no experience whatsover so her grandchildren could watch and learn and she also had a very successful hatch of duck eggs.

I bought this product for my 7year old son. It has been a huge success as he is now a prize breeder at the local show. It does what it says on the can and the instructions are very easy to follow. Having the automatic egg turning is essential if you are as haphazard as us. Rated as the best Xmas present he has had. Enough said...
