Buying a second hand incubator can be a great introduction to hatching for the first time as it keeps costs down but please think carefully before purchasing a second hand incubator as there are many issues to consider:

  • Even if the machine is less than three years old our guarantee will not be valid. The guarantee only applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable. If you do have a problem with the incubator it will not be covered under guarantee.
  • There are several sellers, particularly on e-bay who advertise second hand Brinsea incubators stating that they come with a guarantee – this is NOT the case (see above)
  • Descriptions of products may not be accurate – you may not know how many times the incubator has been used before or if it has been cleaned properly, or even if it has been used correctly – all of these could cause potential problems for you. If you do purchase a second hand incubator that turns out to be faulty you will need to contact the person that sold it to you not Brinsea.

We are able to service Brinsea incubators and can supply a range of spare parts.
