Description

The OvaEasy 380 Advance EX Series II is fitted with Brinsea's proven digital control system which provides a range of useful and easy-to-use extra features like humidity readout and temperature alarms. The Ova-Easy Advance Series II incubators have sophisticated features which include room temperature alarms to warn if the environmental temperature goes outside the optimum range and a new single button press to automatically level the shelves for tray access. Eggs can be at risk if the room temperature gets too hot or too cold, and the Series II room temperature alarm warns you should room temperature move outside the optimal range. A single button press automatically levels the egg trays without the user having to wait meaning no watching and waiting for the trays to be level.

The EX version is supplied complete with Humidity Pump for full humidity control.

Capacity when using species specific trays:

Quail - 1738 eggs

Pheasant - 466 eggs

Hen - 384 eggs

Turkey/Duck - 265 eggs

Goose - 126 eggs

Performance and ease of use

  • Four small fans blowing air in lamina flow around the egg chamber provide much better temperature distribution than a single, large fan. This approach, coupled with the high levels of insulation mean that temperature is extremely evenly distributed throughout the egg chamber, ensuring good hatch rates, time after time.
  • Eggs are held in removable trays and the user can configure their incubator to their needs by the choice of trays available. Universal trays are adjustable for egg size from quail through to goose and are supplied as standard.
  • Eggs are initially set in three levels and are then moved to a large, removable hatching tray at the base of the chamber for the final stages of incubation and hatching. The hatching trays come complete with removable covers to contain the chicks.
  • The convenient control panel allows the user to adjust the temperature, humidity (EX versions only) ventilation and turning easily. Temperature and humidity levels are shown on a calibrated digital display on the front of the panel.
  • The fully automatic turning can be switched off from the control panel while the eggs are being accessed or the incubator cleaned.
  • Brinsea have incorporated a cooling option in all their Advance models of egg incubators for proven increases in hatch rates. This feature turns the incubator's heater and low temperature alarm off for a selected period but keeps the fan running. After the cooling period is complete the incubator reverts to normal temperature and the alarm is automatically reset.

Construction – durable and energy efficient

The Ova-Easy models have fully protected steel chassis which are rigid and rust resistant with laminated high density polystyrene sides providing good thermal insulation and smooth, easy to clean surfaces. The transparent, double glazed door provides thermal insulation plus the convenience of total visibility of eggs and hatched chicks.

OvaEasy 100, 190, 380 and 580 Advance EX Series II

The EX versions provide improved control for valuable and hard-to-incubate eggs. Humidity is a crucial factor in the success (or otherwise) of eggs and the EX versions of the OvaEasy 100, 190, 380 and 580 Advance incubators put accurate control of humidity in the hands of the user.

The standard OvaEasy 100, 190, 380 and 580 Advance provide a continuous readout of incubation humidity but requires the user to alter humidity to achieve the ideal average level. The EX version with the Humidity Pump effectively maintains the humidity level precisely at the level the user sets irrespective of changes in room humidity and so overcomes problems that can commonly lead to eggs failing to hatch – especially in the latest stages of incubation. The Humidity Pump includes an external water reservoir eliminating the chances of water in the incubator harbouring bacteria.

PLEASE NOTE: Low room temperature alarm may be triggered at approximately these temperatures to provide early warning of compromised performance - Ova-Easy 100/190/380/580 Advance/EX: 15°C

OvaEasy 380 Advance EX Series II

Decided to write my review at the start of my 3rd year of using my 380, the word I would use is "workhorse". When we fire up the incubator it is with the knowledge that it will be running for at least 4 months continuously, we do a rolling hatch of various breeds of poultry namely chickens, geese, ducks and turkeys. With the shelving set up within the 380 all variety of eggs go in together and hatch successfully. As a smallholder who breeds poultry for sale during the summer I can wholeheartedly say I am exceptionally pleased with the 380's performance over the last 2 seasons. The 380 was my first Brinsea incubator and now I wouldn't buy anything else.

This is my third Brinsea incubator and I can safely say you should look no further when buying an incubator. Brinsea incubators are so reliable, and if you do have issues the support line are always quick to answer, helpful & friendly. In addition, the 3 year warranty you get gives you that peace of mind. I did purchase an incubator from ebay to compare with my others from Brinsea and it’s fair to say no competition. The ebay incubator was broken within days! So whilst it’s tempting to spend less on an incubator, you definitely get what you pay for. As far as the Ova Easy EX goes, it doesn’t get much easier than this! The humidity, temperature, and turning are all taken care for you. I particularly like that the water pump for humidity adjustment sits outside of the incubator so there is no reason to open the door for this. Overall, the Ova Easy is a fantastic incubator and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to incubate a large number of eggs with no hassle

These are great looking incubators are more than big enough if you want or need to hatch a few more than planned also good at controlling the humidity as well. What can I say 5 stars all the way

Great incubator

Having great success with my new incubator, has great hatching rates. Had one problem, the turning bar in the machine bent and the machine wouldn’t work properly, but I rang brinsea and their customer service was brilliant. They showed me exactly what I needed to do to fix it. Also offered to fix the machine as they have a great warranty. I am now waiting for a spare part they are posting out to me for free. Great company will definitely purchase more from them!

Top machine.

Great Machine so easy to use. Great for all sizes of eggs with great hatch rates I use for Duck Goose and Peacock and Chicken. Really easy to use for the beginner too.

Highly recommended.

What I love about this incubator is that it is so easy to clean after a hatch. I just have to wipe down the bottom, wash the trays and carry on using it. You can accurately set both temperature and humidity and decide how often or long you want to turn or cool the eggs for. Negatives - I don't like not being able to see the hatching process as it happens in trays with lids on at the bottom of the incubator. The water vessel for the humidity pump is also the same size as the Octagon's which seems ridiculous given the relative size of the incubator. I also bought the universal egg trays which are great for setting the eggs in and much easier than fiddling around with the bars. The chicken ones are slightly smaller than the shelf though so slide as the eggs turn which is annoying. Overall, I would highly recommend this incubator and a bit of tweaking on the small issues from Brinsea would make it pretty perfect!
